Vicissitudes of life I have suffered.

|Melvin Ng| 11:33 pm|

I'm really tired. Have been awake since 7am yesterday. The internet server was down for the whole day, so we couldn't issue any coach tickets for customers. "Our counter is closed temporarily due to system error. Please check back later after 5pm" was displayed prominently at our counter. Sc even recorded (over our phone) that announcement, saving us the trouble of having to pick up those irritating calls.

Before siti, our new colleague, knocked off at 3.30pm, sc and I left orchard for good at 2pm. Just as we were at Espirit in Wisma Atria, Timothy called to ask where we had been. I was dumbfounded initially, but calmed myself to saying "we just had lunch at newton circus, now walking back."

We did not receive any reprimand fortunately when we returned.

The internet service was reinstated after 6pm and I rushed to complete agent bookings.

After work at 8pm, I met up with yq and later sis at raffles place mrt, and shortly after found overselves indulging in gastronomical delights at lau pa sat. We had stingray, you tiao, 'lala,' kang kong, fried chicken and tonic soup for only 54 bucks in total! It was on sis' account of course, but hey! I've bought 3 glasses of teh tarik ice for 4.50 bucks.

We gobbled as much as we could, but gave up finally as our stomach bulged outward. Until now I still feel like vomitting. Two days ago I read on Buddha's teachings that we should never waste food. But it seems like I'm not practising what the book has preached.

I'm feeling really 'horribly terrible' in my stomach, with those undigested food blocking my esophagus up to the tip. My diarrhoea makes me wanna 'lao sai' anytime.

Few days back while I was in Hong Kong I received a letter from NUS accepting my appeal to enter Business school. I was delighted.

Today I'm off. Perhaps I should decide on the sights worth visiting in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. Mum and I are most probably making a short trip to Vietnam at the end of August. By then I should have quit my job.

I'm down. Really down. My depression is back to haunt me again. This world is unkind. Nothing on earth is worth living for. My life is getting dull. Why would I say that?

Alarm goes off -> Wash up -> Breakfast -> Leave home -> Take train -> Report to work -> Attend to customers -> Knock off -> Take train -> Meet friends (on certain days) -> Take train -> Reach home -> Wash up -> Dinner -> Rest -> Sleep

Such cycle continues everyday. It's soooooo routine; if it's not work, it's rest. If it's not rest, it's work. Why is life so dull? I really can't understand.

No wonder life is a torture.

Now I'm working. In no time I'll knock off. Next week is a disastrous one. I will have to work early [0730-1530] on Monday and Tuesday. What about Wednesday? I'll have to wake up at 7am and report at CMPB for medical check-up at 0830. Sucks! After that, I'll have to report to work at 1200. Thursday I'm off. But it's early shift on Friday again.

I'll really have to endure. Endure till August, where I'll quit my job and bore myself to death at home! I'll face the four walls and let my thoughts run wild. But it might be good to be able to catch up with some friends after I quit.

After I started working, I have no time to meet my friends up. Even though I have, I am not willing to go out on my only off day. Because I do not want to take the train which I take to work, because I do not wish to see many people which I see at work. Weekends are perhaps the only days where many friends are free, but I am working on weekends, especially Sunday, because I want to! I can earn 1.5 times on Sunday.

I miss cycling on Pulau Ubin, I miss canoeing, I miss the cinemas, I miss walking all-day long without a destination in mind, I miss swimming, I miss suntaning, I miss Sentosa, and I miss many many things...

I'm back to reality, after 7 days of holiday in Hong Kong and Guangzhou.

Day 1 Thu 15 June 2006: Singapore to Hong Kong

I met up with tl, hr and wc at T1 after lunch with sis, and we checked in at Row 4 for our JetstarAsia flight to Hong Kong, 3K695. I bought a worldcard for 10 bucks, which I used to call back home from Hong Kong. We boarded the flight at 3.15pm, and departed at 3.45pm. On the flight, tl and I talked to a Hong Kee businessman who was seated beside me for the whole duration of the flight, 3 hours 35 minutes.

On arrival, we took A21 bus from the airport to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR along Nathan Road, where we checked into Mirador Mansion. There were many 'Nazreen' here. The room was very small, just like that of a cruise cabin. Wc and I shared room 87 on level 8, while tl and hr shared room 32 on level 10. We had wanton noodles for dinner at a cafeteria along Ashley Street before heading for Harbour City, Old Clock Tower and Avenue of Stars where we overlooked the Victoria Harbour and skyscrapers.

Day 2 Fri 16 Jun 2006: Hong Kong

After MacDonald's breakfast at Admiralty (only around HKD18), we took bus no. 629 from the bus terminus to Ocean Park. We had a thrilling time riding on the roller coasters, corkscrews, and I was especially bewildered by the Turbo Drop - where only tl and I dared it. We were fastened to the seat and rose up to over 100m, and plunged all the way down after 10 seconds. We watched the dolphin show, walked through Atoll Reef before ending up at the Panda Conservatory which houses "An-An" and "Jia-Jia." Admission ticket costs HKD160. And yes, Ocean Park is promoting the preservation of sea creatures, but there was a food establishment in the park selling barbeque squids which smelt so tantalising and left me salivating.

We left the park in the afternoon, ending up in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre at Wanchai for it's great architectural design. We returned to the hostel for rest, before setting out for "Symphony of Lights" show at Avenue of Stars at 8pm. It wasn't as spectacular as I thought it would be. I grew bored and decided to leave. Tl and hr were late, and we met up at the Bruce Lee statue and headed for Temple Street for dinner and shopping. Here I bought an Imperial Seal for second sis. When the seller said "You are very nice," I knew I was cheated into accepting the price at HKD230.

Day 3 Sat 17 Jun 2006: Hong Kong

We crossed Victoria Harbour on Star Ferry from Tsim Sha Tsui to Central, where we hopped onto a dreadful tram ride to Shau kei Wan for over an hour. I thought it would be a short journey and good experience, but I grew tired and sick of the slow-moving tram with no aircon in the hot weather. At the final destination, we took bus no. 9 to Shek O. We winded through rolling hills overlooking beautiful seas before reaching this beach resort.

Victoria Peak was our next step after char siew noodles lunch at Shau Kei Wan. I didn't expect that we would have to partake in such a long queue to board the Peak Tram to get to the peak. We could see no sun but cloudy skies at the top. Tl, hr and I posed wierdly for the camera, all thanks to tl's idea.

At 8 plus, we left for shopping at Causeway Bay (Tong Luo Wan), before having late dinner at KFC at 10 plus.

Day 4 Sun 18 Jun 2006: Hong Kong

Bought return bus tickets to Guangzhou from China Travel Service opposite our hostel at HKD170 per person.

It's an enlightenment path to Big Buddha on Lantau Island. We took MTR to Tung Chung (transferred train at Lai King), before taking bus no. 24 to Po Lin Monastery. The Buddha is undoubtedly the world's largest seated Buddha, and we had to climb 260 steps to the top. The view of Lantau Island and surrounds at the top were awe-inspiring, and the weather's cooler here. The admission ticket (HKD23) included a vegetarian snack at the cafeteria. We were so full such that we resorted to playing "open numbers" to decide who shall eat up the pastries. In the end, I lost twice together with tl, wc lost once and hr freely escaped.

I wanted to visit Tai O fishing village, but the afternoon sun was making me extremely exhausted, and I decided to take bus no. 2 to Mui Wo pier and catch a ferry to Central at 2pm. We took MTR from Central to Kowloon side, where I returned to the hostel for rest while the others went for shopping at Mongkok, which turned out to be a basketball session instead.

We had dinner at Prince Edward's cafeteria adjacent to Concourse Hotel. The old cafeteria which I patronised in year 2000 has been changed to a new one. No more nice wanton noodles, but one that wasn't that tasty. I bought some shirts for mum and big sis and a friend at Espirit Mongkok at pretty low prices. Then we headed for Ladie's Street, on the way talking to bernard and ken who would be enlisting the next day.

Day 5 Mon 19 Jun 2006: Hong Kong to Guangzhou

We had dim sum for breakfast at Pioneer Centre, before walking across to board the bus to Guangzhou at China Travel Service office next to Concourse Hotel. The bus departed at 11.45am, and we reached Guangzhou China Hotel at only 4 plus. From there, we took a taxi to Haitao Hotel along Huangpu Xi (West) Lu (Road) for 30 yuan. The rooms (923 and 925 connecting) were much bigger than the hostel apparently for the same price at 25 bucks per night per person.

Dinner at a restaurant of the hotel was darn cheap at 20 over yuan per set of chicken cutlet. We walked to a mall where the shops were all selling furnitures, grew bored and located another shopping centre. The grocery was so cheap that I hope I can buy all home. In the end I only bought some local products of Foshan and Guangzhou. And a vitasoy which tasted awful.

We shopped at night markets below our hotel before returning to the room for a bath. Then we headed for a massage parlour about 20 minutes walk away. It only costs 60 yuan for an hour. At the end of it, my neck aches the most.

Day 6 Tue 20 Jun 2006: Guangzhou

We woke up pretty late at 11am, before taking taxi to Baiyun Mountain for 20 yuan. The cable car uphill was 25 yuan. We had a long trek to "Moxing Ling" or "Star Touching Summit." It started to have a downpour and we continued walking our way downhill, getting all drenched. In the taxi I was shivering, and back in the hotel I bathed immediately.

We rested and watch dvd before sleeping for 15 minutes and took a taxi to Beijing Lu (Peking Road) for shopping. I bought 2 sets of shirts at an unbelievable 78 yuan. Prior to that we had dinner at Argentina Cafe. I ate a plate of cod fish fried rice. Each person paid around 50 yuan.

Day 7 Wed 21 Jun 2006: Guangzhou to Hong Kong to Singapore

We slept till 9.30am before washing up and checked out of the room. We used up all our monies to buy chicken burgers at MacDonald's for breakfast at 12 yuan each and large cola at 5.50 yuan and medium sprite at 4.40 yuan. We boarded the bus at 10.45am for Hong Kong, reaching at 2.30pm at Concourse Hotel. We returned to Pioneer Centre for dim sum before heading to a shop selling wife's cake (lao po bing) at Mongkok. Tl shopped at Ladie's Street again, leaving hr, wc and I to wait for him.

We took MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui, returned to hostel and collected back our baggage. Then we walked to Holiday Inn next to Mirador Mansion to take K3 to Kowloon Station. Here I checked in for my United Airlines flight (UA895), so I do not have to check-in again at the airport. We took the Airport Express to the airport, and on the train we posed some pictures (xi, nu, ai le). Whose idea again?

I waited for my friends to check-in for their JetstarAsia flight before clearing the immigration and I bade goodbye to them. My flight has been delayed for half an hour, touching down Singapore at 23.46. It's no wonder United Airlines is on the verge of bankruptcy. If I am a businessman, I would not fly United. But as a leisure traveller, I might.

That's the end of a nice holiday and work is commencing tomorrow. I hate this feeling. Really hate.

I am sooooooooo fucking angry today!!!! It was just so unlucky of me to handle a complaint case which was none of my business!!!

Okay, the pax name was khuzaimah!

He came to the counter with his wife, seeking a refund for the tickets bought for 5 adults and 3 children, totalling S$334. The coach that they ought to be travelling (KL-SIN 2pm) has been cancelled, and they got to know about it only the day before departure, i.e. 12 June.

I drafted an acknowledgement letter on the spot as follows:-

"I (Khuzaimah) hereby acknowledge the full refund (S$334) for the following tickets as at 14/06/06 and shall withdraw my rights to bring any action (whether legal or whatsoever) against my company ("Airebus Sdn. Bhd")."

This letter is to be signed by that fucker, and attested by me.

On asking him to sign, he grew angrier.

Fucker: "NO! I am not going to sign!! What rubbish! Why I cannot bring any action against your company!"

Me: "In that case I cannot refund you the money!"

Fucker: "Yesterday a staff from KL promised me that I will get my refund without question! I wan to speak to your boss!"

Me: "If you do not want to sign, please stand aside because I got customer behind you."

Fucker: "NO! YOU ARE SERVING ME NOW! AND I WANT TO SPEAK TO YOUR BOSS!"

Me: "Sir, please read clause no. 6 ("Airebus reserves the sole discretion to cancel schedule without prior notice, without refund.")

Fucker: "Don't play this trick with me!"

Me: "Sir I got study business law so I know this is valid!"

Fucker: "Don't talk law with me lah. If you study law you won't be here!"

Me: "Now is vacation. Can't I be working part-time??"

Fucker: "No matter what, I want to speak to your boss! Is your boss around?!"

Me: "My boss is not here. I'll call him!" (My intention has never been to disturb my boss over such meagre issue) Instead, I called zoe, a kl staff. She did not answer the call. While I was trying to call, that fucker complained about his situation to the lady queuing behind him.

Me: "No one answer. I'll call later, let me serve this lady first."

After I printed the ticket for the lady, I said: "Mdm, I would like to bring to your attention the terms and conditions, ESPECIALLY (I emphasised) clause no. 6, in which airebus reserves the sole discretion to cancel its schedule without refunds. Please kindly sign on the ticket."

Women: "No I don't want to sign!"

Me: "In that case I can't sell you the ticket." (I handed the cash back to her).

Women: "No I need the ticket because I am really going."

Me: "Well alright, anyway these are the 'implied' terms and conditions and I have brought to your attention so signature is not really required." After collecting back the cash, she left.

I continued calling zoe. She did not pick up again.

Me: "There is still no answer."

Men: "When will I get to know the answer?"

Me: "I don't know!"

Men: "You better know! I don't want to wait whole day here!"

I continued calling, this time zoe picked up. He talked to zoe over the matter (especially the acknowledgement letter that I drafted), and I overheard zoe pointing out clause no. 6 to him as well. That fucker was really agitated. I was on the other phone attending to inquiries, but I roughly knew he complained about my attitude to zoe.

Soon after I put down my phone, I asked zoe what shall I do. Then it was decided that I edit the acknowledgement letter to:-

"I (Khuzaimah) hereby acknowledge the full refund (S$334) for the following tickets as at 14/06/06 ."

The fucker signed on the letter, and just as he was about to leave, I said "please read into business law!"

He turned back and stood in front of the counter again.

Fucker: "What do you mean by saying this?? You better don't be rude with me!

Fucker's wife: "You better mind your manners! If you have been polite we would have just gotten our money and leave!"

Fucker: "I will bring this matter to CASETrust, to your headquarter, about this matter, about you!"

Me: "Yayaya, watever, just write in for all i care."

Fucker: "You better don't be rude! I'll slap you!"

Me: "You can go ahead, but I will charge you in court for battery!"

Fucker: "Don't talk law with me!"

Me: "Ya watever!"

Fucker: "I will make sure u'll be removed from your job!"

Me: "I don't care, you can go ahead and complain!"

Fucker: "Are you a permanent staff or temp?!"

Me: "I am a temp!"

Fucker: "When customer talk to you, look at them!"

(I looked at him thereafter) and he said "that's the way!"

Me: "Why should I look at you???"

Fucker: "You better watch out I tell you!"

Me: "Watever!"

He left in a huff; I knew he was certainly going to make a report, so at once I informed my superior about the matter, that he threatened to slap me, that he said "I am rude," and asked me not to talk law with him.

My superior said "you aren't rude, you are doing a good job, just that he vented his anger on you."

I also told my superior that I said to him "I shall reserve my rights to charge him in court for battery."

I am still very very angry now, but nevertheless, I felt it was my honour to argue with that fucker. Maybe I really shouldn't have "talked law with him" because he's a pig anyway.

Earlier today, the coach driver drove me to a nearby 7-Eleven where I topped up his autopass for erp. Because LTA disallow the coach to alight passengers anywhere in singapore except Hotel Asia, he alighted me in a huff and closed the door too fast even before my left leg touches the ground. The edge of the door knocked onto my ankles and palms, and there were abrasions! I was contemplating whether I should scold him after I got back to the coach again, but I remained my composure, not mentioning it again because he has been very 'polite' and friendly.

Today is really my sway day, and that bloody alton's woman, my, said that "it might be a bad omen for my hong kong trip tomorrow." Fuck her ass off. And wished me "not to be strucked by typhoon."

I hoped she "won't get raped on her journey home" in return.

Saturday, June 10, 2006

Today's work commenced at midday, but never did I expect to end work at 4pm. Why so? Because boss has gone to perth! Cheers to counter staff. Can you ever imagine a frontline staff wearing U2 polo-tee with jeans and a slipper? It is so unglamourous. Anyway, what is so glamourous about airebus in the first place?

Bus has been delayed yesterday, because of traffic jam in the causeway. A frantic passenger was nagging at shin and me, but I followed the teachings of Aida. She said "if passengers scold me I'll smile at them. If I'm not in a good mood I'll scold back."

So what else can I do but smile at that passenger?

After 4pm, I went shopping with nb who gave me a handicraft photo album with an apsara cover bought in cambodia. I wanted to buy a tee-shirt but I left home empty-handed. I've tried giordano's 3/4 tee-shirt and 2 tee-shirts at topshop in marina square, and another 2 at zara in ngee ann city. Some were not to my likings, but they were to nb. That was why I told her "when I buy present for you in hong kong next week, I'll buy those I do not like because we have opposing tastes."

Those that were to my likings were too expensive and I think it would be worthwhile bringing mum along? Lolol.

I'm off work tomorrow. What a day to enjoy. I'll most probably have a tan at bedok swimming complex (if not sleep) before meeting up am in town.

My stomach was growling... and I knew it was time for dinner. I was all changed and raring to go off hotel asia after work.

I met up with second sis at plaza singapura, where we had our dinner at lao beijing (old peking) restaurant. I had my pay, so the dinner was on my account as promised. It came up to be a mere 69.30 bucks for two person, akin to prices at soup restaurant.

On entering the restaurant, it was as if I had landed in old china, as the name of the restaurant suggested. Fine northern china cuisines were served on china ware. On my right was one china national blabbering at 2 singaporean business partners. On my left were japanese appreciating fine chinese cuisines. In front of me was second sister slurping on "zha jiang mian." We also ordered "gong bao ji ding" or sichuan chicken, "hong shao dou fu" or braised beancurd, braised cabbage as well as peking "guotie." The soya bean milk tastes great, but could be better if it's a bit more thick.

After dinner, I followed my usual customs; that is to shit at the toilet before following mum home. A friend of mine (forgotten who) said my metabolism is perfect. But I say my intestine is very short, perhaps straight down to my anus.

Wednesday, June 07, 2006

Yesterday was an uneventful day. Upon reaching home after shopping with mum at tm, I went for running around my neighbourhood. It was a mere 30 minutes non-stop of running. After that, I entered the lift, feeling extremely uncomfortable in my eyes and chest. I wondered if it was because I did not warm-up before I started running, and did not cool-down after running. Blood gushed up my brain, my eyes were blod shot, my breathing was almost impossible just like an asthma attack. I walked unsteadily into my room and sat down on the floor, wiping my sweats, at the same time down with runny nose. My whole body started to itch all over. I scratched my head and my back incessantly. It must be due to the work of the prawns I have eaten for dinner. I thought I would be dead, without even having to wait for 080806 to come.

The sensation was terrible. All I thought of was the past. Then this evening I read sc's blog. She had a close shave as well, in which she was almost knocked down by a merc with her 3 packets of chicken rice still on hand. Is it a signal from God? I must be crazy. But both of us had a close shave; spared from a traumatic death and the 'chicken rice stunt.'

When I bathed, I had to even sit on the chair. How damned could this be. After I felt better, my otherwise *sparkling* eyes started to swell into a pair of goldfish eyes. I became worried if I were able to report to work today. I called boss, wanted to ask if I can take mc. But he did not answer. He called back later, and told me to go see a doctor. But since I was all ready for work, I insisted on working instead.

Today's lunch and dinner were on company's account. Ahahaha. But they suck. The beehoon for lunch was soggy, and the fried rice for dinner was also soggy. I wondered what was the chef doing. The lunch was served with green vegetables. Dinner was also served with that same green vegetables, this time stir-fried together with beansprout. I was wondering if the green vegetables served during during was the lunch's leftover. The same fish was also served during lunch and dinner. All the same. Okay enough of my complaining for I got them all free.

Grandma's going shanghai for holiday tomorrow with 3rd uncle and his family. Hope she'll enjoy her time there. Saying of shanghai, I remembered holidaying there when I was in sec 4. The bubble tea costs only 50 cents; tako pachi balls only a dollar for 4. So cheap and good. Just like the mainlanders there. Ahahahahahaha. Just remembered it's exactly two months I've worked for airebus hotel asia today. Another two more months?

Monday, June 05, 2006

Today's my 8th day of work without off. It has been an extremely long week, but nothing significant happened except for the waterpipe blast 2006 at Hotel Asia, yesterday.

Initially I wanted to jog around my neighbourhood after work, but the coach was delayed for an hour, so I couldn't leave until almost 9pm.

And yes, my, sc and I have been watching porn using our pc at the counter. We would use a tall banner to block our entrance, so no one could see what's on our screen. There was also a time where a customer was standing at the counter, and we had the movie playing (without voice of course). And we treated as if we were watching some kind of a commedy show.

My suggested that in order to go the extra mile, we should play the blue film for our customers to watch while waiting for the tickets to be printed. What a lousy suggestion, against the law.

Even though sh isn't here to share our joy, nevertheless, we still tried our best to inculcate in her the culture of G.E.T. - horniness, over the web messenger. But sometimes it's just useless, because that indecent girl is putting up a decent act. So we do not know what she's up to most of the time. Maybe only alvin can 'teach her a good lesson.'

Tomorrow's off day! My dearest woman on earth is off as well, and that is my mum!! Maybe we shall go orchard for shopping? It's just the best choice because I do not have to pay a single cent. Eat also free, shop also free. Maybe transport also free. If not I'll have to join those irritants out in town, or go swimming (which will set me back for a dollar).

There's an additional sight at Hotel Asia - a natural fountain.

Alton told me a lorry had bumped onto a water pipe and it bursted! Water gushed out incessantly like a geyser.

Any passer-by will surely mistaken it as a man-made aviary. Ahahahaha. If there is any *good thing* to be had, it will definitely have to be at Hotel Asia; including the nosy parker - Christine, the bitchy duty manager with her infamous "ahheheheheh, you are so good to me.... ee yer..."

Now? The water system has been shut down due to maintenance. Keep it up Hotel Asia for the good experience you've bestowed on your invaluable guest.

|Melvin Ng| 6:30 pm|

raToday's yet another boring day at work, with practically nothing to do. I've found some enjoyment indeed; that is to upload songs into my ipod nano.

Prior to that my brought along a vcd to watch.

I've also scanned my childhood photos using the scanner in an act to preserve them.

<> Drastic change <>

Oh yah, timothy just called saying the coach has met with a minor accident at Jurong. I remembered cursing the company yesterday, and now it turned out to be a reality. All the best in your endeavour, airebus.

Another gossip! Got a guest give my a mango, instead of asking me if I want it when I have been at the counter for so long, she kept persuading alton to have it when he came by at the counter for a short while, to take home with it. Still so pushy lor. Can see a spark from my's eyes.

I am stuck in Hotel Asia, working overtime. We saw a father and daughter, who were sitted in the lobby earlier, boarding a cab. We thought they were our passengers, so I wondered if they were taking taxi to KL. Super fuckhilarious.

Sc was telling me: "Hey if you are the taxi driver and your passengers said they want to go KL what will your reactions be?" Ahahahahahaha.

I kept asking sc to go out of the hotel to check if the bus is here. She shouted to alton at the door and asked "Alton! Is the bus here?"

Alton replied: "Got, SBS bus ar!"

Finally I've made up my choice of university - it's none other than NUS.

I am accepting NUS based on a 50-50 risk. Why would I say so? Firstly, I have been offered a place of study at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). But now, I am firm on vying for a place at the Business Faculty through an appeal. The reason for switch is simple: from a personal viewpoint, Arts and Social Science Faculty has become more of a 'dumping' ground. Polytechnic applicants (with a mere GPA of 3.0 on average) who cannot make it to the Business Faculty were instead offered a place of study at the FASS. What does this suggest?

When having dinner with boss yesterday, he agreed to my opinion and said "it has always been like this, unless you are keen on reading political science then it would be a different story."

Just before turning to bed, I submitted my appeal and wrote the following simple reasons:-

"After much thoughts over the past months, I feel more towards a Business education, especially so because I am from a business background while studying at Singapore Polytechnic. Advices from relatives and friends encouraged me to do likewise. It would be my greatest honour to be able to continue my business education at one of the world's most prestigious university - NUS."

Nevertheless, had I not been offered a place of study at the Business Faculty, I shall try my luck again the following year.

Having got my pay, I met up sr for lunch earlier today where I treated her to chicken rice at novena's best chicky foodhouse. We catch up with each other's daily life, some office politics of course, before I returned to Hotel Asia to continue the rest of the day's work.

The coach came late today, so shin and I could only leave at 8.20pm. On reaching home, I put down all my belongings, changed into my shorts and ran around the neighbourhood for 20 minutes.

And yes, while I was on the train back home and reading a book, a small flies (which I'm not sure what it was) dropped onto my page. I was paranoid, pondering if it was "kutu," because a bangala was standing beside me. Throughout the journey home, I felt my head, and even my body, was itchy. Fuck it.

Counting down to tuesday off, but tomorrow is only saturday, and I have worked for five days. I'm drained of all energy.

Soon after sc knocked off, we made our way to orchard, where I returned those library books I borrowed, before heading for osim at best denki. I bought an iCheck 100 that measures blood pressure and pulse rate for my mum, because doctor advised her to monitor her blood pressure regularly.

The great singapore sale is on, some stores are offering 50% discount; Calvin Kleins is one of them, but I did not manage to take a look. I shall return tomorrow or so.

After work, we had dinner at cafe cartel plaza singapura on boss' account. Jennifer went along with us as well. Meiyin and I ordered soft shell crabs and sc - sirlion steak. One waitress could even invent her own word "doneness," as in "How is the doneness?" Sc replied: "Well done."

That waitress is making herself the "dumbest" of all. Anyway, that shows the english proficiency level of singaporeans. It is time to shape up, or shape out. Ship-shape is the best.

The total bill came up to be 108 bucks, and we thanked our boss for the treats before bidding goodbye. Boss replied: "Thanks for the help at the counter too." Jennifer was encouraging us to "keep up the good work" as well.

I managed to hitch a ride on dad's car home thereafter, concluding my long hours of day out.

Hurray to getting my pay for the month of may.
