Just returned from Bangkok. Quite nice weather. Not hot.
Day 1: Wednesday 22 August 2007Took a night airasia flight at 2005. Reached suvarnabhumi airport almost at midnight. Taxi to twin towers hotel costs 450 baht.
Day 2: Thursday 23 August 2007Set out for tha tien pier, where we took a short ferry ride across to wat arun (temple of dawn). Never did I know I have to climb high to the top of the temple. In an instant it reminded me of angkor temples. Quivering of my weak knees. No more higher.
Offered incense to the 4-faced buddha at erawan shrine. Shopped at central world plaza, siam paragon before having dinner (sushi set and cha soba) at fuji chain of japanese restaurant at siam discovery centre. Continued to mbk where I bought a samsonite luggage for SGD70 plus only. I know it's an imitation. But original costs over 300 bucks.
Returned to hotel for rest. Had dinner at a thai restaurant next to asia hotel before heading for patpong. My first time in bangkok watching a f**king show at go-go bar. Super hilarious. 220 baht per drink. Of course I don't have to pay.
Day 3: Friday 24 August 2007Mbk still for late lunch at mk restaurant before finding ourselves in siam square, pratunam and suan lum night bazaar. Bought 2 really nice art paintings for merely 600 baht (about SGD 30) per piece. patpong once more for dinner of pork thai fried rice with tom yum gung.
Dyed my hair black back in the room to cover my countless strands of white hair.
Day 4: Saturday 25 August 2007My first time to chatuchak weekend market after having been to bangkok for five times? Items are pricey in initial offerings and I can't find myself to bargain hard and smart enough. So ended buying only a top, a 'bottom' (haha) and a flip flops.
Mbk for the third time for lunch at sushi tei. my salmon doesn't taste good. dry like a chicken breast.
Returned to hotel to collect our baggage before heading to the airport. 365 baht this time round. Taxi driver claimed he has not had any smaller change. Smart huh.
Flight was delayed for an hour. I stoned and read my times magazine before being able to check-in to get ourselves into the shopping zone of the passenger lounge. The whole terminal was packed with people. Looked like a trading place to me. In the passenger lounge were many branded retails. So I can't afford. Burger king was so expensive. A set costs 220 baht. In mbk's japanese restaurant, a set meal costs merely 195 baht. Sat beside me was a northern indian boy. Kept laughing at me (or should i say us?). He said phrases in indians and 'i love you' in english. So i faked a smile back. But somehow I felt he's funny and I really got myself into a laughter. Vic asked me to ignore him so he'll stop. And suggested maybe he should go hougang chalet.
In the end his father brought over a pack of fries to us. "No one touch before. You can have it." Even after we insisted on 'no,' he placed on our tray. So I started my acting. With a hand I took a fries out and dipped onto the sauce. My mouth was in motion as if chewing. Sick.
Reached home at 11.30pm.
Was informed last minute upon my return to run for army half marathon. Have to report at 0545 at marina bay. Siao! So I took an mc. Not one day, but two days.
Watched hair spray at tm. Very meaningful. About the author's call for segregation of whites and blacks (they called them the negros) in a very musical form of production. So I did not have the slightest thought of falling asleep.
Had dinner at billy bomber's again. Spare ribs and dunno what platters.
At home I ate durians before having a cup of slimming tea. Since I have not worked out for a week. Haha.

Yesterday boss treated us to New York New York in ang mo kio hub. I ordered spare ribs. The other 3 also ordered the same. And root beer float as well. Bill totalled 109 bucks. Cheap lah hor?
We went for customer relationship management training at NCS. On paper it stated that the training will last till 6pm. But it ended at 4.30pm to be exact. Some oldies in the class were so slow that I felt like yawning.
Vic picked me up after work and we had cheng tng at a hawker centre opposite bedok camp. Gone into cold storage before going home.
Tomorrow going for tooth extraction. Very worried of the pain. Say bye to my four teeth. Upper two, lower two. Sis told me sometimes face will also swell. Haiz. On mc. Goddess of mercy please be by my side from 1100 to 1130 at the National Dental Centre. “有求必应。”

Had dinner yesterday at bedok south blk 18. Cuttlefish, rojak and fish head steamboat.
But none was comparable to the homemade mango dessert that vic prepared, topped with sago and pomelo, as well as taste of coconut milk. It was a big portion and managed to finish it only five minutes after the car was parked below my block.
Weekday is here again. So sian. Stone.

Booked a night cruise on SuperStar Aquarius from Star Cruises' office in Parkmall. Though onli 1-night cruise to nowhere, I feel it's a good way to enjoy the city skyline of Hong Kong. Moreover the cruise will depart from Ocean Terminal at 2000 hours. That's when the Symphony of Lights performance will start. Can watch from open deck.
Met up with jv for lunch at swensen's. As usual, I had black pepper seafood pasta and shared a clam chowder soup. Don't really like the soup though.
Returned home thereafter and napped from 3pm to 5pm.
Had dinner at Redhill. The one we normally had dim sum in the afternoon. At night it serves tse char. Had a whole chicken, in it stuffed with mei cai; prawns and thre-style steamed eggs.
Caught Hostel 2 at Plaza Singapura. So-so movie. Gore! Don't really like.

Finally it's gonna be public holiday soon.
The past sat and sun had been fine.
Sat had teochew porridge dinner and roast duck along henderson road before catching Perfect Stranger at Tiong Bahru.
Sun went temple in Pasir Panjang, followed by lunch and tour of haw par villa. It was almost ten years since my last visit in sec 1. Time flies so fast and all of a sudden, I realised we have all matured intellectually, compared to the past where I would merely "see" the statues instead of understanding the legends and myths behind them.
We drove through South Buona Vista Road, also called 99-turns because of the numerous bends.
Suntanned and swam at queenstown swimming complex, had dessert at tanglin halt before we called it a day.
Tomorrow have to reach camp by 0645 for stupid parade. Fuck la!
Going to watch 881 at tm after work.
