Watched The House midnight movie on saturday at tampines mall. I thought I would surely fall asleep even before the movie because I was so tired after having worked in the day. But no! In fact I got more alert. The movie was freaking horrifying - thai horror - which sent many many chills down my spine. And goosebumps too.
Prior to that we walked down Chinatown, which was a tedious task. Got an old man even fainted and blocked the passageway. Sweat like bathing.
I'm going Japan coming April. Flights have been confirmed. Leaving on April 12 for 10 days. Still 3 more months to go. But I shall start planning for this trip liao.
Going downstairs for dinner with mum and sis soon.
Have a nice week.
MC forecast: this wednesday and thursday, and friday to escape CNY spring cleaning at work, which involves contact with dust!
One more pimple on my cheek today. Terrifying.

Met bahnu for a musical at the Esplanade - Beauty World!
It was touching, and lively at the same time. Anyway musicals are meant to be lively aren't they?
Beauty World, cha cha cha!
Congratulations to bahnu for having passed her driving at first attempt. In fact I got a shock hearing it. Haha. And totally supported her sis who said it depends on the tester itself. So bahnu, did you drive the tester to Macritchie Reservoir instead and cover all up with newspapers?
Haha.
Reached home at 11.45pm.

Have bought a one-way ticket on tiger airways to KL, and another "KL-SIN" sector ticket on airasia for only S$200 for 2. Cos the base fare was $0. Both the airlines have just started plying the SIN-KL route and were having promotions. Will be going Genting with mum for 3 nights from 17-20 February 2008. Room at Genting was free cos mum redeemed it using her casino points.

Had lunch at Central Restaurant at Tampines Mall.
Caught the movie - #19 - a Thai horror movie that was gore as well.
Got quite a few frights throughout the show and realised my heart wasn't as strong as before.
Seriously nice.
Must watch.

Went to watch Jacky Cheung's concert yesterday at Singapore Indoor Stadium. Full house. So you can roughly know how good it was?

It's finally the first weekend of 2008. Am dead tired from work. I mean not that I have alot to do, but having to wake up at 0600 hrs everyday is a dread for me.
Was still in Bangkok a week ago, from Thu 27/12/08 to Tue 01/01/08.
I'm totally broke after the trip!
What else could we do in Bangkok other than:-
1. Shopping? MBK, Siam Center, Siam Paragon, CentralWorld, Patpong, Chatuchak...
Shopping at Siam Paragon was just like shopping in the park. You get what I mean?
2. Massage? 1 hour foot reflexology for only 250 baht (S$12); 2 hours traditional Thai massage for only 45o baht (S$20). May I recommend Healthland Spa & Massage. Full of tourists. Japanese as well.

At home, preparing for holiday. Sc said my mouth open very big. Her mouth even bigger even when closed!

Christmas tree made of plastic bottles outside Siam Center.
Christmas tree at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

On our way up to Chong Nonsi BTS, where our hotel "Silom Residence @ Trinity" was located about 3 minutes' walk away.
At Wat Mahabut, where the Mae Nak Shrine could be found. Legend has it that Mae Nak died from childbirth while her husband was away for war? After her husband's return, little did he know that she had died. Mae Nak continued to prepare meals where they had them together, and even sex! Until a few occasions of discovery by neighbours (who knew of Mae Nak's death) did her husband then realised she was a ghost! Subsequently a monk from Wat Mahabut prayed for Mae Nak's death did she then leave the mortal world in peace.
At this shrine, people buy toys as offerings for her child. Pray at this shrine for fortune and love.

Outside Siam Paragon
On the Sky Walk (pedestrian bridge) adjacent to CentralWorld, towards Erawan Shrine direction.

Finally visited this attraction on my 7th visit to Bangkok. Jim Thompson was an ex-Thai immigrant from the States, who developed a deep love for Thailand after his first visit as a military officer. He built his house according to traditional Thai style, exquisite in furnishing. He ventured into the silk industry and to date, Jim Thompson's silk is widely known.

Bangkok countdown 2008 site at CentralWorld. We gave it a miss for security reasons.
Hoardes of policemen at the countdown site to step up security, after the wake of a bomb at Siam Paragon a year ago.
