Received a letter from MOE. That it is offering me a fully paid 4-year degree course in Arts (Education) and after that have to fulfil a 4-year teaching bond.
If it was 3 years back, I would be so happy.
But now, I have not even the slightest desire to teach.
Most probably is because of NS, where I stayed in the office for such a long hours and I can't imagine myself working in the future handling paperworks.
I want a job that can bring me to places. Waking up to a different destination each day. A cruise ship job would fulfil this desire of me? Tourism and hospitality are my source of life. Even though with the meagre pay, I know it is the passion that drives me crazy. Haha.
Hopefully I can get a disruption. Because till then mindef has yet to approve my application for disruption. If it isn't successful, I shall go to the mp. So my final choice is to go NTU business. Good bye geography and history.

Just returned from Japan past midnight.
Japan was so fun! People are so polite, sometimes with a gracious bow. They looked handsome and pretty, dressing up to the ninth, mostly in Toyko. Toilets (where I patron every so often haha) are so clean.
Did not encounter much difficulty in getting around since I could speak a little basic japanese and some know english as well. Still remember talking nonstop with an old lady while waiting for the bullet train (shinkansen) in kyoto. She asked if I was from China! I told her I was from Singapore and out of a blue she started asking about the religion practised in Singapore (perhaps she visited Kyoto since it is a place of temples and shrines). She said I need to spend 3 years in japan to speak fluent japanese.
Japan is not so expensive afterall with proper planning. Bought a checked-shirt that was on sale from muji in tokyo's ginza for only SGD20 plus? In singapore's muji i would have to pay over SGD60. Ate quite alot of yoshinoya there as well. Though the yoshinoya there isn't quite the same as in singapore. It's truly a japanese 'teishoku' or set menu served at your table. It's cheap. About SGD6 per set that could feed the cows with its rice portion?
It's been raining throughout the trip (april is rainy season) and I could not even see mount fuji. Perhaps it means I shall return to japan in future? This time to climb to the summit to see sunrise when the path uphill opens in the months of july and august only. Wore raincoat for quite a few days. Was in hakone - a moutain resort - where we forgotten our raincoat and I had to "take" one umbrella that was left in the toilet. A white, transparent umbrella that was a hip all over japan. Could be bought for 100 yen from the 100 yen shop (just like daiso).
So we had a change of our initial plan. Did not manage to go Yokohama. Because I was lazy to take any more train rides.
12-14 April - Tokyo
14-15 April - Overnight on bus to Kyoto
15-16 April - Kyoto (half day morning), Osaka, Kobe
16- 17 April - Overnight on bus to Tokyo (enroute to Hakone)
17-18 April - Hakone
18-21 April - Tokyo
Shall upload pictures when I get them ready in a week's time.
Total damages for the trip: S$350 only spent on shopping. Haha.

NTU here I come! Gotten a letter of acceptance for business course today. I'm so elated. At least I can pursue my tourism course.
Have to seek approval from mindef for switching institution from nus to ntu though. So mafan.
Means I will hopefully go on global immersion programme next year for half a year if possible? Followed by internship in year 2.
Now the issue is distance from home. Don't know if I should stay at hostel. But if stay hostel, must participate in cca. That's an utter waste of time.
Going japan tomorrow. Have planned all stuff.

Gonna meet nb, my, sc, sh and wc for movie and night picnic on sentosa island. Think we are weird people. Somehow we started night picnic a few years back on our once in a blue moon outing. Hope we will have much fun.
Starting tomorrow will be a crazy week. Since my superior will be on a week-long leave. Plus, I have japanese class on mon and wed after work from 6.30-9.30pm. 疲れたよ!Tsukareta-yo! Tired huh!
Furthermore I've yet to compile all the necessary information I need to bring to 日本。多久さんいますね!Takusan imasu ne! Alot!
Sis returning from 東京 (Tokyo) tonight. Going to get some insights from her. Heard it has been very cold even though it is supposed to be spring now.
Gotta leave home now or I will be really late. 行って来ます (itte kimasu), said when leaving home. Haha.
