Holiday's over and i'm now back to square one! ritz carlton stay wasn't perfect after all. "certainly." "it's my pleasure." these were the 2 frequently used words by ritz carlton staff, to the point that they misused them. out of nothing said "certainly." i asked them to repeat wat they said cos i couldn't hear, and they replied "certainly." i almost bursted out in laughter.

met sis at bugis and had mac with her frens b4 we went singtel shop to sign up a new line and bought a samsung E730 for 298 bucks.

i left in a hurry at 2115 to tanjong pagar mrt to meet shar and my. took a bus to railway station. train was supposed to depart at 2215 but delayed till 2240 den depart. got a guy whose hair realli looked like bonsai n he was on the same carriage L5 as us.

couldn't realli sleep well even with a fully flat bed cos of the motion and noise. slept at 1am, woke up at 1.15am, whereas they slept at 1am, woke up at kl.

reached kl at almost 0800 den went to ritz carlton. check-in was efficient. the male receptionist escorted us to our room no. 909, then a lady came into our room with 3 glasses of orange juice and to process the check-in as well.

meiyin almost immediately went to bathe and asked for laundry service.

our executive deluxe room was tastefully furnished with an "english" feel and the bathroom was well-appointed with full marble covering.

was feeling hungry so we went up to the ritz carlton lounge on the 19th floor to have continental breakfast. was brought to a seat by Ayu, the waitress whom shar said looked like shaf. we kept joking over ayu. ayu is so good. remembered by surname and addressed me by "Mr Ng" everytime i visit the lounge. so shaf, you gotta learn a great deal from ayu.

after eating we went lot 10 and sungai wang for shopping. halfway i forgot i din bring along my swimming trunk so in the end i spent rm50 to buy a bods bodynit's one. quite cheap. i got shocked on seeing how shar and my shopped. by the end of the last night, both of them were penniless. to think at the end of the trip, i was still left with rm150. wanted to buy a shirt from espirit but so ex. rather buy in singapore.

returned back to hotel at 3pm plus went ritz carlton lounge again for light snacks. after that we visited the healthclub on the 4th floor. one male healthclub attendant brought us to the pool area and later brought me to the men's spa. so relaxing man!

we went back to the room to change into our swimming gear den together with our bath rob, we went to the health club again. i dipped into the whirlpool, water was so hot. den went into the steam room, wah almost died of suffocation. but i endured and stayed for 5 mins, then went into the sauna, also felt suffocating. den a staff came in and said "Mr Melvin, your 2 frens are outside waiting for u." i was like "huh," so fast? but i continued dipping in the whirlpool while ignoring the staff. shar and my said they cannot take it. whahaha. shar told me meiyin totally slipped into the hot whirlpool and i lol. so clumsy.

went for dinner at sungai wang. ordered tonic soup, wanton noodles, dim sum. only rm80 plus. went to petaling street by monorail where i bought bah kuah and stuff. was so crowded and i felt like being sandwiched between ppls. floor was wet cos rain just stopped. returned to hotel and rested.

woke up at 9 am plus to have breakfast at Rossini's on G floor. while i returned to collect my waffle from a chef, he addressed me as Melvin. was so shocked that he knew my name. guess when shar called my name earlier he might have heard it.

when meiyin was making an order, she kept insisting a hashbrown which is already an included stuff in the set that she wanted. the indian restaurant manager kept explaining to her. still can say "egg with mushroom" when wat she wanted was an omelette! shar and i couldn't help laughing.

took a cab to 1 utama for shopping. bought a book written by rick warren on purpose-driven life. den took a cab to klcc for some photo shots before taking cab back to hotel.

went ritz carlton lounge again for light afternoon tea. "shaf" was on duty whaha! i had a glass of white wine and took pic with "shaf." went swimming finally. initially wanted to swim the day but was raining. meiyin and i pulled shar's legs and she kept stuggling. got 2 times i also press meiyin's head into the water without her knowing. den went to use spa facilities again. very funny, after using the spa all of us secretly hide some towels inside the bathrobe we were wearing and took it back into our room. den we stole it home muahaha. it's a good quality baumwolle towels.

went for dinner at 2015 at an open hawker behind ritz carlton along jalan imbi. just as we were about to leave the room, i called the housekeeping department to clean our bathroom and replenish the bath amenities. meiyin left her hp in the room to charge. on opening our door, the 2 male housekeepers were coincidentally at the doorstep ready to clean. after we return from dinner at 2140, her handphone was gone. shar's and my stuffs were still intact.

nothing can be even more accurate. on the way back to the hotel meiyin was saying she wanted to make a false police report and claim $ from insurance company lol. we rang up the front desk and the front desk assistant manager came up together with another male staff. he asked me to write an incident report (a short paragraph) of the incident.

i asked the mgr to assemble all housekeepers so we can identify but he said he already know who cos there were only 2 housekeepers assigned to each floor. den i told him we will not hesitate to birng this case to court. shar was saying i was very fierce. but when the mgr said wanna arrange for a limousine to bring us to the tourist police station, i could actually say "so this service will be complimentary?"

at 2230, we were accompanied by that male staff to lodge police statement. heng meiyin bought insurance cos she was so sway! we returned to the room and put on mask. i rang up the butler asking him to deliver a flask of hot water. idiot him! he came to our room with a kettle instead of flask, expecting us to boil the water ourselves. guess because we kept asking for flasks of hot water since the first night until he buay tahan and expect us to boil ourselves. felt so insulted. if for a nice kettle nvm but the kettle looked old.

slept at 1am finally i tot. but as i was about to doze off, the phone rang and the receptionist said if i dun mind the police coming to our room to take photo. i almost shouted at the receptionist for waking me in the middle of the night and i told her to ask the police to come in the morning. she said "certainly" and i hung up the phone.

thanks to meiyin. if not for her lost hp, we wouldn't get the opportunity to get a free midnight tour of kl and the illuminated twin towers. but there is a price to pay. initially we tot we can have wine at the lounge after dinner but no chance. no chance to bid farewell to ayu also.

front desk woke me up at 8am as i requested. i rejected a second wake up call supposedly at 0805 and slept till 9 plus. skipped breakfast. not nice anyway.

meiyin called the front desk to inquire about the investigation but the manager said the 2 housekeepers denied. we checked out at 1140 and left for pasarakyat by cab wanted to buy coack tickets to singapore but all full. went to puduraya all also full. in the end we took a coach to jb which left at 1345. we bought from a woman and she told us it was a transtar executive coach. in the end the coach became a "starliner" - unheard brand. but only rm30.

went up the coach, no more seats left for us. fuck. we alighted and waited. the driver made a ticket check and those who boarded wrongly alighted. we boarded and settled down finally. reached jb at 7pm and was raining heavily. some areas were flooded still. took bus no. 170 back to singapore together with a lady on the same coach as us. at woodlands i hired a cab home that cost me 22 bucks. reached home at 2130. so tired...
