My mind is unsound today, for having ran 2.4km in Bedok Stadium at 1pm, when the sun was scorching hot. Dad was saying people usually wake up early in the morning for a jog, but I slept till 12noon happily and proceed to do so thereafter.

I was the only crazy human running on the red and hot track. Some JC students were sitting on the spectator arena. The heat that I could feel emitting from the track was somewhat unbearable. Nevertheless, I kept running non-stop, and returned home shortly after for a warm bath and 'mee pok' lunch that dad has bought for me.

I started reading The Fuhrer written by Konrad Heiden. Being Hitler's first serious biographer, Heiden was the first to hear the young Adolf Hitler's rousing orations and to recognise his political ingenuity and perverse, self-serving ideology. The Fuhrer depicted how Heiden took a stand against Naziism, and documented the rise of Hitler to power from the very beginning to the day in 1934 when the Blood Purge eliminated the last opposition, leaving him absolute dictator of Germany. As Heiden states: "his path of murder and violence was, in accordance with Hitler's beliefs , the right path to greatness."

Reading The Fuhrer somehow requires a great deal of determination. It has the same thickness as a dictionary, with over 614 pages. I wonder how br managed to complete reading this "Hitler bible."
