Today I got to start work at 0730 and ended at 1530. This is perhaps my most favoured timing, because otherwise, the sun is unmerciful as I walk my way to the subway usually around midday.
For the past two days I have been glancing towards the front desk direction, and all I could observe was the bitchiness found in one duty manager. "Ohhhh you are great because you are so good to me," as she said in a bitchy tone to one caucasian man. Her action tells her bitchiness, as she leaned softly against the edge of the brick desk top, as if trying to screw you up! And yes, she was one of the idiots who complained about our etiquette to our bosses. But we still continue our ungraceful act, because it's afterall, Hotel Asia.
My PC volume was the loudest. When I chatted on msn with the KL counterparts, we flashed some emoticons, such as the "kissing," and the sound was unbearably loud! Imagine yourself entering a hotel lobby and hearing such stuff, you'll be awed! People often mistaken us as the front office personnel, and imagine all our shocking pretty open concept of "eating, drinking, sneering and loud bang and opps, it's sleeping time as we rested our head on the table top!"
The coach schedule has changed! Hooray, but I'm sorry if you have bought our tickets but haven't been inform. It's not my fault though! SC shall speak... I've asked her to filter out passengers whose schedule has been affected, but she came out with a list of only 7 pax. I thought it was all, and I trusted her, so I couldn't be bothered to check. Day after day, angry passengers complained that they weren't informed of the new schedule, and there was an incident where two parties fought over the row of 3 seats on the lower deck due to overbooking.
If there are no lower deck seats, just take upper deck seats lah! It's not as though you are crippled such that you cannot even climb a short flight of stairs? If the bus is gonna meet an accident, all will be perished! Two passengers even have no meals for them because of overbooking. In the end I refunded ten bucks for each of them from my cash excess. And that lady walked away smiling ear to ear.
My seven days hong kong trip next month with tl, hr and wc has been finalised. We're going to fly to Hong Kong with JetstarAsia. Initially I wanted to fly full-service carrier, but it was beyond their budget. If I fly on my own and meet them up in hong kong, it would be a hassle. So in the end, I booked myself on a United Airlines flight on the return leg, while I booked the others on Jetstar Asia. Flying for over 3 hours with a budget airlines doesn't sounds good, especially when hong kong is having a typhoon season.
These days I have been 'into' history of china, especially on the legends and life of the last empress of china - dowager empress cixi, also known as lady yehenara. The book titled "Empress Orchid" talked favourably of her as the last empress, but the book "Dragon Lady" which I bought only yesterday, described her as the "wicked witch of the east." The latter wrote her as history's most monstrous woman who seduced and murdered her way to the throne in 1861 to rule China through perversion, corruption and intrigue for half a century. Anyone shouldn't miss it!
Going to sleep.
