Day 06: 17/04/2008 - Tokyo to Hakone
Reached Tokyo in the morning via Yokohama from Osaka. We then bought a 3-day Hakone transport pass (unlimited use of trams, cable cars, ropeways, sightseeing cruise). However, we only stayed in Hakone for 2 days because staying any longer we would be rotting. It was in Hakone that I fell sick with bad sore throat that lasted until day 09.
Hakone is a mountain resort - 1.5-hour train ride from Tokyo. It is famous for its hotspring and a view of Mount Fuji (fuji-san).
Weather was bad and rained whole day on our first day there. So we had to re-run the programme on the second day when the weather was better.
This ryokan (guesthouse) was our home for 1 night, perched atop a hill; thankfully my stamina aren't that bad (about SGD46.00 per person per night)

In between woods...We then took a ride on the ropeway, supposedly to see Mount Fuji from it. But now how to see???
Reached Lake Ashi (Ashinoko), from there we took a sightseeing boat (no sightseeing at all) to Moto-Hakone Port and took a bus back to the ryokan from there

Our "sounzan" room (sounzan means "morning clouds"); this room was so dusty and made my fell sick; the air was so dry even though it was raining cats & dogs, making my throat sore

With an outdoor hotspring bath; it was damn shiok soaking in a 40 degree celsius bath under a cool weather even though with drips of rain water
