It was twice an unpleasant experience with NTU. All due to the poor service of the office of admissions. Firstly when I called to request for a letter of course reserved in order to apply for ns disruption (if not I would have to wait for next year's intake), the service staff sounded so unhelpful and said it was impossible for them to write for me. I got so furious and said "NUS could do that!"

That woman replied saying: "NUS is NUS. This is NTU!"

I really got hot and said in my stern voice: "Hey! What do you mean by that? What is your name? I want to speak to your manager!"

That woman suddenly turned soft and when I asked for her name again, she refused by changing the subject to saying: "Ok what is your application number? The letter will be mailed to you within three working days."

I received the letter promptly and was successful in my application for ns disruption.

Then I emailed to the office of admissions saying I was granted a disruption, and asked what should I do the next step in order to enrol in this year's intake. 6 days had past and I received no reply (NTU's auto-generated email said they would reply within 3 working days). Being hot headed and furious again, I emailed once again, this time CC to the Dean of Admissions: "Please kindly refer to my previous email dated 8 May which I have yet to receive a reply. And what should I do next having been granted a disruption?"

I immediately received a reply but my question was not answered. Instead the person who replied wrote: "Please kindly refer to the attachment." And you know what? The attached document was the previous same letter that I got in order to apply for disruption. Followed immediately by this email, another staff quickly emailed and asked me to call in for better help.

Haiz. I am really worried about my future experience with the school. Hope it isn't worse off than sp.

NUS is still the best, but I rejected it because:-

1) 4 years to get honours (NTU only 3 years); and

2) No tourism option.

This evening immediate superior (female de) treated us to buffet dinner at swissotel merchant court. Even though she's going to be jobless soon, she's still very 乐观. I really see her up man. Now I'm really thirsty because of too much msg. Going to rest. Dahpne is also leaving, and quite upset because she's one of the few that we could really click. Anyway ganbatte kudasai.
